Iron Works Mobile Welding and Fabrication Pty Ltd (ABN 93 689 124 721) (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains, in plain English, what personal information we collect through this website and while doing your job, what we do with it and who else is involved. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
You don’t have to give us your details, but we can’t quote or book a job without a way to contact you.
To reply to your enquiry and prepare quotes, schedule and carry out the work, invoice and follow up, keep normal business and tax records, and run and improve this website. We don’t sell or rent your information, and we don’t add you to a mailing list.
When you send a form, your details and any photos go through a secure function on our website host (Netlify) and are emailed to us by an email delivery service (Resend). A copy is also sent to JB Digital Barossa, who built and look after this website, so they can make sure enquiries are getting through, and they keep a short note of each enquiry (name, email and message) in their client system for the same reason. They may also forward your enquiry to our office phone by text message so we see it sooner. They don’t use your details for anything else. If an enquiry email can’t be delivered, it is stored securely in JB Digital Barossa’s client portal so it can be followed up.
Only the people and services that help us run the business and this website: our website host (Netlify), the email service above (Resend), JB Digital Barossa, and Google (analytics and maps). We may also share information where the law requires or allows it. Some of these providers store data outside Australia, mainly in the United States.
We use Google Analytics 4 to see how people find and use the website, including whether a visitor taps our phone number or email link or sends a form. Google Analytics sets cookies and gives us statistics; it doesn’t tell us who you are. The contact page shows a Google map, and the home page can show our Facebook feed if you choose to load it; Google and Facebook may set their own cookies when their content loads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on; the website will still work.
When you type your email address or phone number into an enquiry or quote form on this website, we save what you have entered so far (your name, contact details and the details of your enquiry), even if you do not press send. We do this only so that Iron Works Mobile Welding & Fabrication can get in touch once to help if your enquiry was interrupted. We never save passwords or payment details. If you clear the form, or tap “Clear” under it, what you typed is deleted. If you do send the form, the unsent copy is deleted straight away. Otherwise, saved details are deleted automatically after 90 days. They are stored securely in Australia by our website provider, JB Digital Barossa, and are not sold, shared or used for marketing lists. To see or delete anything we hold about you, or to ask us not to contact you, email admin@ironworksmobilewelding.com and we will action it promptly.
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep it only as long as we need it for the reasons above or as the law requires, then delete it.
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, at any time. If you have a concern about how we’ve handled your information, please contact us first and we’ll sort it out. If you’re not happy with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
