Cover For The Car, The Van Or The Header
A carport is simple until your block slopes, the caravan is taller than the ute, or it has to tie into the house. That is where a welder and fabricator earns his keep. We size the posts, beams and roof to your vehicles and your site, then fabricate the steel to suit.
Pick a single, double or triple carport, or a custom size for a caravan, boat, truck or farm machinery. Choose a gable, skillion or flat roof and your Colorbond colour. Attach it to the house or an existing shed as a lean-to, or have it freestanding.

Do you install carports or just supply kits?
Both. Iron Works designs, fabricates and installs steel carports and lean-tos around Adelaide, the Barossa, the Adelaide Hills, Murray Bridge and the Murraylands. We also ship carport kits flat-pack anywhere in Australia.
What sizes do your carports come in?
Common sizes are 3 x 6 m (single), 6 x 6 m (double) and 6 x 9 m (triple), and we build custom sizes for caravans, boats, trucks and odd-shaped blocks.
Can a carport attach to my house or shed?
Yes. A lean-to carport attaches to the house or an existing shed, usually with a skillion roof. We can also build freestanding carports with a gable, skillion or flat roof.
Will my caravan or boat fit?
Use the free 3D Shed & Carport Designer: it lets you check your ute, boat or caravan fits before you send the design to Sean. We set the height and span to suit.
Do I need approval for a carport in SA?
Usually. Carports and lean-tos generally need development approval in South Australia. Check with your council or on the SA Planning Portal (PlanSA) before you build.
Do you build pergolas and verandahs too?
Yes. We build custom steel pergolas (see our recent Tanunda pergola) and steel verandahs, along with sheds, carports and other steel structures. Call Sean to talk through your job.
